The Wall Street Journal — SEO Program

Senior Software Engineer | Full-stack

2024 — 2025

Senior Software Engineer | Full-stack on WSJ's Next.js platform across the SEO program. Embedded full-time inside the WSJ team — JIRA, daily standups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and global team meetings — under WSJ's full-time contractor process. Launched two complete page systems: the Latest Headlines page (full layout, GraphQL queries, schema markup) and the Live Coverage section front (real-time event grid, page layout, pagination). Contributed across multiple shared component libraries used across WSJ brand properties — adding SSR fetches, transforms, and safety checks. Also enhanced the in-house prerender service (Puppeteer) with load-more click simulation, pixel-step scrolling, and network-idle waits to ensure complete content capture for crawlers.
